Make life a Tango, allow for mistakes, learn from them - and you are far better of. In aviation we seek mistakes in the flight simulators, learn, and hopefully avoid them in real life. There is not yet a life simulator so unfortunately you have to "wing it"!

Given that most new discoveries and frontier breaks comes out of often simple mistakes, aren't we lucky...
